The C5 tension roller is ideal for securing trellis wires to the C5 end post. Made of stainless steel with holes to accommodate wires, the tension roller can tension wires by simply using a 13mm wrench to rotate and wrap the wire around the tension roller. By using the tension roller, there is no contact between the trellis wires and the C5 end post.
Depending upon the application, the tension roller can be used with or without the locking key.
The Tension roller key (SKU: VTRK) is used to lock the tension roller into place after tensioning SINGLE trellis wires such as an irrigation wire or cordon wire. After tensioning the wire around the tension roller, simply insert the key through the outer hole and inserting into the tab next to the hole on the C5 end post. The key prevents the tension roller from unwinding.
The Tension roller without the key (SKU: VTR) is typically used to secure individual catch wires to the C5 end post. Simply insert the individual catch wires through the outer holes of the tension roller insert the wire through a Gripple GP#1 and seat up against the tension roller. Wires can be tensioned using a gripple tool.
