The Rotho Peristaltic pump, first introduced in the 1980s, has undergone continuous advancements at Ragazzini. Through innovative design features, materials, and accessories, the Rotho series has become a market leader in peristaltic pump technology and Ragazzini was the first manufacturer to introduce the perstaltic pump technology into the wine industry.
Standard performance features include:

A key feature of all Rotho models (*) is the integrated leak detector. This floating probe, situated in the pump's base, detects fluid leaks caused by internal hose breakage. If leakage occurs, liquid enters the probe housing, raising the float and triggering a signal to the electrical panel, which then shuts down the pump. This minimizes contact between the machine and potentially aggressive liquids.
The MS series of peristaltic pumps is ideal for applications requiring medium flow rates and gentle transfer of diverse products. These include heterogeneous materials like pomace and whole grapes, as well as delicate products such as wines and must.

Available Options:
Retractable Roller; The retractable roller positioning system is essential for pumps that require regular cleaning and sterilization of product-contacting components. By quickly releasing the roller away from the internal hose, this system enables thorough CIP and SIP washing. It is also beneficial for pumps used in systems where the internal hose needs to be flushed of abrasive product residue.
Additionally, the retractable roller system can extend the lifespan of the internal hose. When the pump is not in use, the retractable roller can be disengaged from the hose without opening the pump's clear front cover, protecting the hose from unnecessary wear.
The retractable roller option is quick, safe and easy to perform, requires no tools and is available for the entire MS Series and the PSF1 model.
Standard pump configuration include TC fittings, radio remote and retractable roller options. Special order pumps can be outfitted with or without:
Radio Remote; Radio (wireless) remote control for on/off, flow inversion and speed adjustment. Available for all models.
Semi-Solids Hopper; Stainless steel hopper for the gentle transfer of fresh, crush/destemmed and fermented grapes. The hopper motor is sychronized to the speed of the pump. 5-8 TPH.
