CEP is a strong, long lasting stretchable hand tie, ideal for tying grapevines and fruit trellis to trellis wires. CEP will stretch up to 400% of its original length, and unlike tie tape, does not lose its elasticity over time. Because of this CEP is a great choice for tieing cordons and trunks. In addition to significantly reducing the threat of girdling, CEP also eliminates the need for post harvest maintenance due to its inherent strength, particularly for machine harvested vineyards. CEP is available in two strengths; light and heavy and does not require any tools except for a ring knife or pruner (to cut). Light CEP is suitable for young vines with cordons/trunks greater than 3/4" in diameter. Heavy CEP is designed for mature cordons/trunks with a minimum diameter of ~2".
