Vineyard Line Posts
Support your vines with precision, durability, and harvester-friendly design.
Line posts form the backbone of your vineyard rows, supporting fruiting wires and managing canopy growth throughout the growing season. The right line post choice impacts installation efficiency, long-term maintenance costs, and compatibility with mechanical harvesting equipment. At Spectrellising, we offer six distinct line post solutions to match your vineyard's specific needs:
Steel Line Posts:
C1 Maxi Standard (Strip Galvanized) Roll-formed steel with integrated notches and hooks for complete wire management. Strip galvanized coating provides reliable protection for non-acidic soils. Best for: Cost-effective installations in well-drained, neutral to alkaline soils with 10-25 year planning horizon.
C1 Maxi HDG (Hot-Dip Galvanized) Premium galvanized coating delivers maximum corrosion resistance and 35-40 year lifespan. Suitable for all soil conditions and climates. Best for: Long-term investments, acidic soils, or high-moisture environments requiring maximum durability.
C1 Maxi Corten (Weathering Steel) Develops a protective rust patina that blends naturally with vineyard landscapes. Popular in wine tourism regions for its attractive weathered appearance. Best for: Wine tourism vineyards with neutral/alkaline soils seeking aesthetic appeal with 10-30 year performance.
C1 Maxi Zincor (Corten + HDG Bottom) Combines Corten's aesthetic appeal above ground with HDG protection below ground. Ideal for acidic soils where standard Corten isn't recommended. Best for: Wine tourism areas with acidic soil conditions requiring both aesthetics and extended underground protection.
MG48M Steel Line Posts European-engineered galvanized steel posts with precision "N" slots on 4" centers. Medium-weight construction balances strength with ease of installation. Best for: VSP systems prioritizing precise wire positioning and reliable galvanized protection.
Wood Line Posts:
CCA-Treated Wood Line Posts Pressure-treated Southern Yellow Pine posts in 3-4" and 4-5" diameters. Traditional choice offering natural aesthetics and proven field performance. Best for: Vineyards maintaining traditional appearance, organic operations (where permitted), or existing wood trellis systems.
All line posts are compatible with our complete range of wire spreaders, clips, tensioners, and canopy management accessories. Steel posts offer mechanical harvester compatibility and lightning protection, while wood posts provide traditional aesthetics and proven reliability.
